Day 1

Arrival at the Gaviota Marina in Varadero. Optional dinner in the Kike-Kcho restaurant or snack, depending on arrival time. Check-in and get settled on the catamaran. Free night.

Day 2

Breakfast and information briefing. Begin sailing with navigation to the beautiful coral reef “Cabezo Amarillo” for a snorkeling sesion. Continue northeast bordering the bays of Cardenas and Santa Clara via different channels and inlets until we reach our destination of the Bay of Cádiz, where we’ll anchor in a protected area for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast. Before leaving the Bay of Cádiz we’ll approach its lighthouse, built in 1862 then continue navigating our easterly route to Cayo Hicacal. Free day to explore the area where you can discover cliffs, palm tres, virgin islands and an inviting coral reef. Relax while listening to nothing except the waves and birds. Lunch aboard the catamaran. At the end of the afternoon we’ll pick one of the corners of the island to enjoy a quiet evening and dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast. Sail to Cayo Santa María via Ensenachos, another lugar distinguished by its natural beauty. The virgin beaches we’ll discover in this area invite you to stop and enjoy a dip in the ocean. Lunch aboard. We’ll continue to a coral reef called  “Los Diablitos” where you can snorkel and appreciate the marina flora and fauna. At the end of the afternoon we’ll dock at the Santa Maria wharf for dinner. Free night.

Day 5

Breakfast. Land excursion organized by Gaviota Tours. Return to the catamaran for dinner and free night.

Day 6

Breakfast. Visit Cayo Fragoso and Cayo Francés. This is another lovely area of Cuba’s north coast distinguished by its numerous virgin fine white sand beaches, ideal for underwater activities with beautiful ocean depths. The San Pascual ship, located in front of Cayo Francés since 1933, was built in 1920 by a San Diego, California naval company that built 3 sister ships of this type, of which the San Pascual is the only surviver. The ship has a rich history, and it’s said that Hemingway visited it during his travels of Cuba’s north coast, as well as the famous artist Leopoldo Romañach who was inspired and painted some of his most beautiful marine landscapes from under its cover. We’ll continue navigating our return route west passing La Isabela, a small coastal community north of Villa Clara, and Cayo Esquivel, an ideal fishing spot with abundant species including Cuban snapper and grouper among others. Our destination today is the Bay of Cádiz where we’ll have dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Breakfast. Sail to the Cayo Blanco area. Stop for snorkeling and water sports during the crossing. Lunch aboard. This afternoon, dock at the Cayo Blanco wharf for swimming or walking at the beach, volleyball, and taste local coconut water which is said to have medicinal properties. This evening we’ll have the opportunity to dine at the key’s restaurant or on the shore. Overnight at the Cayo Blanco dock.

Day 8

Breakfast. Visit the Rancho Cangrejo Dolphinarium where you can have the opportunity to swim with dolphins. Navigate to the Gaviota Marina for check-out and end of services.

Day 1

Exclusive transfer from the Havana airport to the Gaviota Marina in Varadero accompanied by a local guide. Dinner or snack aboard depending on arrival time.

Day 2

Breakfast and information briefing. Your crossing begins to the Bay of Cadiz where you’ll approach its lighthouse area, built in 1862. After lunch continue sailing east to Cayo Hicacal and enjoy the rest of the day exploring cliffs, palm trees, virgin islands and an inviting coral reef. Relax while listening to nothing except the waves and birds. Lunch aboard the catamaran. At the end of the afternoon your crew will pick one of hte corners of the island to enjoy a quiet evening and dinner.
