Inaugurated in 2012, the Hotel E Barcelona is located in the eighth village founded by Spanish settlers in Cuba in 1578, San Juan de Remedios. The building was declared a National Historic Monument in 1980, with its 17th century Spanish architecture almost fully intact. The hotel is just around the corner from Plaza Mayor, the only main square in Cuba where 2 churches were founded. The San Juan Bautista Major Parish is the city’s main attraction.
