This offer only available when booked in advance in conjunction with WoWCuba’s minimum booking requirement (1 hotel night, 3 car rental days, or other multi-day WoWCuba tour package).
Meet your tour guide at 09:00 a.m. at CicloCuba in Old Havana for bicycle outfitting, and then you’re off on a self-fuelled adventure on less-traveled roads. Take the Bike Bus through the tunnel that crosses under the Havana Bay, cycle the coastline to the quaint fishing village of Cojimar, visit a unique recycled art project called Jardin de los Afectos in the housing project at Alamar, and loop back via the bike lane, passing the Velodrome and Panamerican Village. You’ll cycle through the Morro-Cabaña military fortress/museum complex to an off-the-beaten-path community project knows as the Finca Agroecologica Rincon del Cristo. Discover a former refuse area transformed into a green oasis featuring fruit trees, medicinal plants, youth environmental education and more. Lunch with a stunning view of Havana at the Finca can be followed by exploring some of the lesser-known treasures of the community, including the “Shark Cave” or Che Guevara’s former house, now a museum. Return to Havana via a ferry (known locally as “La Lanchita” that crosses the bay, return your bikes and bid a fond farewell to your tour guide.
