Standard: Havana City and Varadero Beach Holiday
Day 1: Upon arrival at the Havana airport, you'll be met by the Havanatur representative outside the secure arrivals area. The representative will deliver your voucher package and will direct you to the vehicle which will transfer you in to your hotel. The Habaguanex Beltran de Santa Cruz is a restored 18th century property with just eleven guest rooms, directly around the corner from the restored Old Square. Breakfast is included daily. There are all kinds of great indoor and outdoor cafes in the area. Just ask for recommendations at the reception. They'll also provide you with a complimentary map of Old Havana with locations of restaurants, shops, museums, and more. Day 2: To orient yourself and discover Havana, a half day city tour will be arranged for you today, accompanied by a professional bilingual Havanatur guide. The excursion begins at 9 a.m. and includes El Morro, a walking tour of San Francisco de Asis Square, Old Square, Arms Square, and Cathedral Square, a visit to the craft market, panoramic tour of the Grand Theater of Havana, National Capitolio, Central Park, Fraternity Park, and a visit to the Jose Marti Memorial, Revolution Square, and University Hill. Return to hotel at noon. Free afternoon and evening. BB Day 3: Continuation of stay at Beltran de Santa Cruz. We recommend a walking tour of the restored sections of Old Havana today. This evening, make your way to Cuba's famous insignia hotel and their nightclub, the Parisien, for an excellent cabaret show. BB, DB Day 4: Museums in Havana abound. There's everything from the Museum of the Revolution, Museum of Music, to the Orichas (Santeria religion) Museum quite close to your hotel. This evening, catch an antique car taxi to a jazz club in the Vedado section of town - El Zorro y el Cuervo or El Gato Tuerto come highly recommended. Make sure to try one out! BB Day 5: This morning, transfer to the Varadero Beaches staying at Villa Tortuga. You'll enjoy the great beach and the "all inclusive" plan. AI Day 6: Continuation of stay at Club Barlovento. There are several interesting excursions offered in the Varadero area including a jeep safari, "jungle tour" trip through mangroves by individual watercraft, or the catamaran trip to Cayo Blanco with dolphin show included afterwards. Inquire with the hotel tour desks if you're interested in booking one of these adventures. AI Day 7: Continuation of stay at Club Barlovento with a free day. AI Day 8: Return to Havana airport where you'll bid a fond farewell to the isle of Cuba. AI Meals:
