Located very near Havana Harbour, the building was modified around 1923 by Antonio San Miguely Segalá, a man of letters, altruist and promoter of Cuban culture. He was director of La Lucha newspaper which played a very important role in the war of Independence in 1895.
The elegant architecture exemplifies high class Havana in the 1920s. Its 10 comfortable rooms, Grand Saloon designed with pompous filigree to hold protocol banquets, its attractive lobby bar and a captivating terrace with a panoramic view, make this an excellent hotel for discerning travellers.
