Granma Province |
 From historic Bayamo to the black sand beaches of Marea del Portillo and the surrounding Sierra Maestra mountain range, Granma province offers a mix of city, rural and beautiful landscapes. The province is named after the boat which brought Fidel and his fellow revolutionaries to Cuba from Mexico in 1955. You can visit their landing place in Las Coloradas. Another highlight, frequented by few visitors to the island, is Cuba's highest point at Pico Turquino, almost two kilometers above sea level. |
