As Havana's development expanded westward, a street grid system was instituted in Vedado, making it very easy to find your way around. You can also walk its perimeter on the famous Malecon bordering the ocean. Vedado includes Cuba's signature hotel, the Nacional, as well as several other properties which were formerly casinos run by the Mafia. The University of Havana, Coppelia ice cream park, cinemas, museums and nightclubs are all to be found in Vedado. La Rampa is the mecca for Havana's nightlife with several cinemas, restaurants, jazz clubs and more.
The historic center of Cuba's capital city, you'll take a step back in time and discover beautifully restored properties, squares and parks, museums, cobblestone streets, cathedrals, streets, galleries, and beautiful courtyards. Staying here is truly a rich experience.
Old world charm and character abound.
Formerly the residential area for the most privileged class of Havana, many of Miramar's most impressive architectural pieces now house foreign embassies and firms. Wide streets, beautifully manicured gardens, restored mansions and 5th Avenue are some of the elements that characterize this neighborhood.
