Cayo Las Brujas - Villa Clara province
Where is it? Cayo Las Brujas is a small cay off the north coast of Villa Clara province in Central Cuba. The cays in this area are connected to the mainland by a causeway.
Getting there: Land transfers to the cay are via a 48-km causeway connected to the mainland in Caibarien. Air transfers may be via the Santa Clara airport (109 kms away) or via the Cayo Las Brujas airstrip. We offer both surface transfer service from Havana (or other points) as well as daily domestic flights to Cayo Las Brujas.
About the area: The Cayo Las Brujas fishing programs are undertaken in the areas surrounding this island as well as Cayo Santa Maria, all located in the Buena Vista Bay, the area declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The cay limits on the north are the Las Brujas channel or the Piraguas and the Old Bahamas Channel, on the east by the San Agustín Channel, on the south by the Caibarien-Santa Maria Causeway, and on the west by the Tío Pepe channel. Cayo Las Brujas is approximately 4 kms in length and has a maximum width of 1.9 kms. Its total surface is 669.72 hectares.
The Fishing: Fishing is in channels from 1.5-10 meters in depth. Motorized boats are used for navigation, with 2 anglers and one guide per boat. The most abundant species found in the zone include tarpon, snapper, groupers, jacks, barracudas, snooks, dolphins and many more. |

Day 2: Breakfast. Transfer to Cayo Las Brujas. Accommodation in Villa las Brujas . Lunch. Afternoon meeting with fishing guides. Free time before dinner.
Days 3 to 6: Breakfast. Transfer to fishing zone. Boxed lunch in the fishing area.
Day 7: Breakfast. Transfer to fishing zone. After fishing session, transfer to Havana. Accommodation in Hotel Occidental Miramar. Dinner.
Day 8: Breakfast. Return airport transfer.
