Itinerary:

Day 1 (Saturday or Monday)
If required, airport transfer service is available to your hotel (add'l $). Inquire for details. Accommodation and dinner in selected hotel in Havana.

Day 2 - La Habana
Breakfast and pickup at the hotel. Visit the Morro-Cabaña lookout. Walking tour of the Historic Center of Old Havana, World Heritage Site, including visits to Arms Square and Oficios Street enroute to the San Francisco de Asís Plaza. Visit the Rum Museum to appreciate the Havana Club rum fabrication process as well as enjoy a taste test. Continuation of tour to Old Square. Return via Mercaderes Street to Hotel Ambos Mundos where North American writer Ernest Hemingway lived while writing "For Whom the Bell Tolls". Visit Cathedral Square and the bar-restaurant La Bodeguita del Medio. The bus portion of today's program includes a panoramic tour of the Museum of the Revolution, Central Park, the Grand Theatre of Havana, the National Capitolio and the Havana Malecon. Lunch in La Maison. Continuation of tour to Modern Havana including Revolution Square and University Hill. Return to hotel. Dinner. Tonight we suggest the World-famous Tropicana Cabaret as an optional evening activity.

Day 3 - La Habana, Viñales, La Habana
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by air conditioned bus to the Viñales Valley in Pinar del Río, Cuba's westernmost province where the best tobacco in the world is grown. View exotic countryside with valleys of royal palms, the national tree. Visit the Candelaria cigar factory enroute. Continuation to Viñales. Visit the "El Paraíso" tobacco farm where you can get to know tobacco culture, the way of life of the Viñales peasants as well as their hospitality and simpleness. Visit the Indian Cave including a boat trip in its subterranean river. Lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the Prehistory Mural where you can appreciate reproductions of prehistoric paintings on some of the oldest rocks on the island. Stop in the Los Jazmines lookout to appreciate the Viñales Valley in all its splendor. Return to hotel for dinner and free night.

Day 4 - La Habana, Guamá, Cienfuegos, Trinidad
Breakfast in the hotel. Early departure to Cienfuegos with a visit enroute to the "Farmers Party", your first contact with the endemic flora and fauna of the Zapata Peninsula. Continuation of tour with a visit to the Guama crocodile farm. Lunch in La Boca Restaurant. Transfer to Cienfuegos, the only French-founded city in Cuba, with a tour of its main streets and avenues. The city is situated on a marvellous bay protected by the Jagua Castle. The French influence in Cienfuegos gives it a truly distinctive touch: perfect symmetry in its urban design, neoclassical construction and a long boardwalk. Tour of the Martí Park, Palacio del Valle, the Tomás Terry Theatre, the Casa de Bienes Culturales and the Purísima Concepción Cathedral. Continuation to Trinidad. Accommodation and dinner in selected hotel. Free night.

Day 5 - Trinidad
Breakfast in the hotel. Panoramic tour of Trinidad, one of the first villages founded by the Spanish at the beginning of the 16th century, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visits to the Parroquial Mayor de la Santísima Trinidad church, with is luxurious altar adorned with precious woods and images from 300 years ago, Plaza Mayor and the Palacio del Conde Brunet, now the Romantic Museum. Visit the La Canchánchara bar to enjoy a cocktail by the same name. Lunch in a local restaurant. Return to the hotel for dinner and free night.

Day 6 - Trinidad, Villa Clara, Varadero
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Villa Clara. Visit the Conjunto Escultórico Ernesto Che Guevara and the Armored Train. Tour of the historic center followed by lunch in Los Caneyes. Continuation of trip to Varadero. Accommodation and dinner in selected hotel. Free night.

Day 7 - Varadero
Accommodations and meals according to selected plan. Free time for enjoyment of the beach and optional activities.
