MacQueen's Island Tours - Tour Schedule

Bicycle Tours of Cuba

The largest island in the Caribbean, Cuba is a fascinating country. With relatively little vehicular traffic, friendly and curious locals, an eternal summer, and a fascinating blend of cultures, it’s an ideal place to explore by bicycle. MacQueen’s Island Tours has specialized in delivering excellent cycle tours to Cuba since 1994. Insight and authenticity is ensured by our use of local guides on all group cycle tours. On or behind the scenes, a member of the MacQueen family is there to ensure your holiday is everything you imagined it to be. Allow us to show you the natural beauty of Cuba, and you’ll discover that the real warmth is found in the hearts of the people.

From November to April, we offer various one-week bicycle tours and the ever-popular annual Vuelta Cuba, a 2-week January trip from Santiago to Havana. We have resident company representatives, a large fleet of top notch Canadian-made bicycles individually selected for their components, comfort and suitability to the terrain, and all the expertise and accessories to ensure an unforgettable cycle vacation in Cuba.

Participant Endorsement (Vuelta Cuba 2006):
"Just to tell you how great it all was: the itinerary, the hotels, the food, the non-cycling activities, the company... Also, tour leaders don't come much better than Dan McQ: resourceful, gentle, fast, your-wish-is-my-command attitude, lots of patience!, and the best thing of all, he really seems to derive pleasure from seeing people enjoying themselves!

The presence of Kelley, with her delightful cookies, certainly didn't hurt either. I've been on other cycling holidays to Cuba before, with different operators (Exodus and Saddle Skedaddle to be exact), but although they weren't bad at all, I can safely confirm that MacQueen's is king of the fully serviced Cuban bicycle trips!"    DG, Belgium

Vuelta Cuba: 2 weeks Santiago to Havana (last 2 weeks of January)

Trinidad, Cuba

Our 2-week odyssey bike tour crosses Cuba from Santiago to Havana (east to west), generally with the prevailing winds. We have chosen the finest hotels available along the way so that when you’ve finished cycling you can relax in comfortable and sometimes breathtaking surroundings. We begin in Santiago taking the magnificent, deserted southern coastline as we begin our journey west. Visit Bayamo, Sancti Spiritus, Santa Clara, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, the Bay of Pigs, and more before arriving in Cuba’s capital, Havana city. This tour has been tweaked to perfection, and is sure to continue being a favorite. We normally operate this trip with two sag wagons and trailers, with a maximum of 12 participants per van. Our experienced support team is second to none, and our equipment impresses even the most discerning riders.
